津田塾大学学芸学部国際関係学科准教授。

Nao Shimoyachi is Associate Professor of International Relations, Tsuda University. She researches and teaches international relations and international organization. Her research interests center around the intersection  of international law and politics. Her book, The Politics of International Criminal Justice: Rethinking the Peace versus Justice Dilemma, examined the impact of international criminal prosecution of perpetrators in conflict situations on negotiated peace. She is currently working on a project that attempts to explain the growing demand for historical justice.
